NASCAR's own Robby Gordon has won two of the first three stages in the Dakar Rally. This year the rally runs 5,566 miles from Barcelona, Spain to Dakar, Senegal. I don't recall any NASCAR drivers ever competing before in the rally, and certainly not leading it. This is good exposure for the versatile talents of NASCAR drivers on the world stage. Whether you love Robby or hate him all NASCAR fans should pull together to root for their native son. Go Robby!
