Ricky Craven Lands Truck Ride

Tuesday September 7, 2004
After being replaced this week in the No. 32 NEXTEL Cup series ride by Bobby Hamilton Jr. Ricky Craven will make his first start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at the SYLVANIA 200 Presented by Lowe's on Saturday, September 18 at New Hampshire International Speedway. Craven will drive the No. 47 ACXIOM Chevrolet Silverado Celebrity All-Star Team entry fielded by Morgan-Dollar Motorsports.

The truck will feature a LeAnn Rimes themed paint scheme promoting the October 12 release of her new album "This Woman". Craven is the fourth of seven drivers paired with a musical celebrity to promote the Chevrolet Silverado brand's increased commitment to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program.

NHIS is the perfect place for Craven to make his truck racing debut. Ricky considers the "The Magic Mile" his home track. His record at Loudon includes a win in the NASCAR Busch Series and two victories in the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series. Craven also has two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series poles, two NASCAR Busch Series poles, and one Busch North Series pole on the 1.058 mile oval.

Ricky will face some tough competition in the SYLVANIA 200 Presented by Lowe's. In the past eight Craftsman Truck Series races held at New Hampshire International Speedway, there has yet to be a repeat winner.
