Tommy Baldwin Fined

Tuesday July 13, 2004
This is pretty funny. I guess NASCAR has figured out how to be consistent here, just never penalize anybody! NASCAR announced today that Kasey Kahne's crewchief was fined $5,000 for going to visit Tony Stewart's pit after the on-track incident. Baldwin was also fined an additional $5,000 because he is responsible for the actions of his crew who also went to confront the Home Depot team. In addition, Tommy Baldwin was placed on the utterly meaningless "probation" until December 31st.

NASCAR gets credit for being consistent. This is just as insignificant of a penalty as Tony Stewart's penalty for punching Brian Vickers a few weeks ago.

So what do you have to do to get suspended in NASCAR these days?
