NASCAR vs Formula One

Monday June 21, 2004
We've seen lately that NASCAR is not perfect and many in the world believe that Formula One racing is the best motorsport on the planet. Let's compare the US Grand Prix in Indianapolis with the DHL 400 from Michigan International Speedway head-to-head and see how they stack up.

What a joke! NASCAR is not actually racing it is simply a form of entertainment. NASCAR is literally the WWF of motorsports. If I were Mike Helton or anyone else in a position of authority at NASCAR, I would hang my head in embarrassment and shame following the news of the FIA halting all engine development in order to pursue hybrid technology. NASCAR is still stuck in the dark ages when it comes to the technology the employ in their racecars. Tuning into a NASCAR race is like tuning in to a Harlem Globetrotter game, sure it’s entertaining but it’s just not real. Formula One is the epitome of motorsports competition period!!!

So your going to judge F1 racing as a sport by one race alone?
Which happened to be the worst race in F1 history…Good analysis…Jackass. I guess that further proves that NASCAR fans are ignorant rednecks.

It is pretty ironic that we have a 4 way battle for the title in F1 right now while Kyle Busch is proving that NASCAR is every bit as professional as F1, and the best driver in the best car will dominate. NASCAR is a great series, but to call it “better” than the clear leader worldwide based on your perception of the differences in philosophy of the series is really lame – you call yourself an expert? We are talking about a series that runs road courses and stays away from the caution by design, the on track product is different, not worse, not better.

Can i just say that you are a complete idiot. NASCAR is not even real. It is synthesized racing. The people who run NASCAR put in caution whenever they feel the reace needs to be tighter. NASCAR’s cars are not even close to F1 cars in technology. F1 cars have twice as much BHP per ton as NASCAR cars do. F1 actually relies on the driver’s skill not what the people who run the program want which is why drivers can dominate as in NASCAR the people who run it can control the race as they please t get their desired result. You are a misinformed, uneducated prick and I hope you watch some more F1 (ex: the last race where Hamilton won the championship on the last turn) before you judge real racing.

NASCAR is great entertainment, it is also tiny compared to Formula One in every aspect! It isn’t fair to compare the two.

I guess that’s why Mr. McCormick has never replied to these posts…
