Saved The Best For Last

Friday May 28, 2004
If you left or turned off qualifying early last night then you probably missed the pole run. Jimmie Johnson was the last driver to make an attempt for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 and he put it on the pole as the only driver to break 187 mph.

Ryan Newman once again put up a fast lap and will start beside him while Jeff Gordon and Elliott Sadler make up the second row.

The rest of the current point leaders include Dale Earnhardt Jr who will roll off tenth and fourth in points Matt Kenseth who will start deep in the pack in 37th. You can find the full starting linup at NASCAR Online.
