More Field Fillers In Atlanta

Friday March 12, 2004
Sure, Joe Ruttman has promised to field an actual pit crew this time, but he was a speed demon compared to 41st qualifier Andy Belmont. Belmont posted a smoking 172.630 miles per hour. The only problem is that pole sitter Ryan Newman posted a 193.575 mph run. The problem with NASCAR today is with only 44 cars showing up to fill 43 slots it's worth the time to show up to get last place money. I am a strong believer that if you can't run within 20 mph of the pole that you just don't belong in the show. Check out the complete qualifing results at NASCAR Online.
