NASCAR Not Happy With Field Fillers Either

Wednesday February 25, 2004
Straight from the source at NASCAR Online it seems that NASCAR agrees that Joe Ruttman may have been a bit too obvious in just collecting his check and going home. "'The Joe Ruttman thing was sort of a sham,' (said) NASCAR vice president Jim Hunter." Uh, no kidding. Now that NASCAR has identified the problem lets see if they can stop it.

Have you noticed that over the last decade or so US auto makers blame all their shortcomings on the global market, downsize at the blue collar level, continue to pay big bucks to the guys in the air conditioned offices, and then move their operations out of the country. In spite of all this, they still stumble along! Meanwhile, Toyota has opened four plants in the US, created a lot of jobs, and continues to thrive, even while using the “too costly” American labor. They do this by making everybody a part of the team and expecting their officers to perform! Can we really blame the Japanese for the shortsighted, self-serving actions of our corporate leaders? When Chrysler has moved its corporate offices out ou the country, I hardly consider buying a “Mopar” buying American. Toyota is as much American, if not more so, than Chrysler!

Yes they invest in Assembly plants in America which employe the low pay and low skill jobs. The high paying jobs are right at home in there own country, Engines and transmission are shipped to there America plant for assembly. Please don’t fall for all the lies they tell you. America has become the dumping ground for the world and the people in America need to wake up before its too late but that I’m afraid has already happened, and we let in happen.

I LOVE THESE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HOW TOYOTA AND THE REST ARE MORE AMERICAN THAN THE BIGB THREE. TOYOTA HAS SPENT MILLIONS TO CONVINCE US THAT THEY ARE ALL AMERICAN AND I GUESS IT WORKED. HERE ARE THE IMPORTANT FACTS THAT THE IMPORT LOVERS NEVER DISCUSS. TRADE DEFICIT AROUND 5O BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH. IN THE AUTO BUSINESS FOR EVERY EIGHT JOBS WE LOOSE THE IMPORTS AD 2. THEIR CARS ARE STILL MADE WITH PREDOMINATLY FORIEGN PARTS. AND YOU WILL NOTE THAT WHEN THEY CUT PRODUCTION IT IS THE US PLANTS,AND THEY WILL IMPORT ANY INVENTORY. PS… WHILE IMPORT QUALITY IS SLIPPING JD POWER HAS SAID WHAT WE KNEW ALL ALONG. FORD IS MAKING A BETTER QUALITY CAR THAN TOYOTA
OR ANY ONE ELSE. AND THEY ARE MORE DEPENDABLE.
