Ward Burton Finds New Home For 2004

Friday October 10, 2003
Haas CNC Racing announced in Charlotte that they have signed Ward Burton to drive the NetZero #0 car for the 2004 season. Current driver Jason Leffler will drop back to the Busch Series to drive for Haas CNC's new NetZero BGN team.

I'm not sure that the #0 car is as good as the Bill Davis Racing #22 but Ward needed a change. Leffler could use a little more seasoning and should be a real factor in the Busch series. This change might prove to be a good thing for all involved.

It was announced earlier this week that Scott Wimmer will drive the #22 Caterpillar car for Bill Davis in 2004.

NASCAR Online has the Ward Burton announcement. You can read the details of the Scott Wimmer / Bill Davis story from Bill Davis Racing's official website.
