Imagine if the NFL automatically gave the team that was behind 3 points anytime either team fumbled? Welcome to the new NASCAR. The "Lucky Dog" rule sacrifices competition in the name of entertainment by giving undeserving competitors a free lap whenever the yellow flag waves.
