To Whom This May Concern,
My Name is Terry Dwiggins I was wondering about this weeks rough driving rule? Two weeks ago when Ryan Newman wrecked Tony.My
Question is why didn’t they gave ryan the rough driving penaty but yet the following week they can give Tony the penaty? what is this Nascar coming to who ever they like in Nascar?
Todays finish at the Talledaga Race Track was strictly bush league. Dale Earnhardt and Jimmy Johnson both were denied a possible win by the supidity of Brian Vickers. Vickers should be suspended and Earnhardt and Johnson should be awarded a tie for first for the race. One more reason to show that the powers to be at NASCAR just do not care about what makes the sport and that is the fans. Who the hell is a Brian Vickers. He is a second rate driver and should not be awarded a win for his stupidity.
The crash on the last lap was uncalled for and if NASCAR lets this go then, they will loose my respect and I will have to change sports. BAD Decision by NASCAR !!!!!
Why is nascar allowing second rate drivers to take out contenders? Last week it was Vickers and tonight it’s Yeley.
with goodyear being on strike right now, what will nascar do for tires? goodyear shortage is all around right now, but what about Nascar? got to have tires….
I think it is time that the NASCAR CUP backout of the Busch series.
The Busch drivers have no chance for any financial gains as long as NASCAR allows the cup drivers to continue to dominate. It just seems unfair that the
cup drivers say they are only driving for the fun and learning, but they take away the money from the Busch drivers.
Thank you.

Hello,
my name is crystal and i am doing my 8th grade project on NAscar and i was wondering if you could help me out a little bit if so here are a few Q’s:
1. Are drivers required to wear full-face helmets or gloves?
2. Are drivers required to have a valid driver’s licence from a state /country to race in NASCAR?
3. Why 43 drivers/cars in a race? Where did NASCAR come up with that number

NASCAR has become too big for thier “Panties”! Go back to the “Old Days” and let them race what they bring. Richard, Darrel,The Allison’s, Cale, Buddy, Neil, and the list goes on of drivers that would have simply kick Fance’s butt for doing the stupid and rediculas things that are bringing this sport to a sad ending. First of all…..stick the “restrictor plates” where the sun don’t shine! Next…..let’s keep this sport “American Made” and not turn it into the “Japan 500″!
Holes in fenders and oil on an intake are certainly no reason to make teams start in the hole. Do you realize how difficult it is to get quality sponsors in this economy? Keep suspending dumb butts and see where your sport ends up!!!!! I know it won’t be trashing my TV screen anymore!!!
My mother in law came to visit us in florida for the nascar races this week.
We were up at 5:30 this morning to get a wrist band for an for autograph session from Carl Edwards that is advertised on the office depot racing .com site, only to find that only his car was going to be there.
Please see below and then check the link to see that the advertisement was for an autograph.
With racing season in full gear all over America, you won’t want to miss out on the excitement. To find out when you can see the No. 99 Ford Fusion car at an Office Depot store near you, use this calendar. Check back at Office Depot Racing for more news and great pictures of NASCAR races!
Legend
The first 250 attendees will receive an autograph from Carl Edwards. Store opens at 7 AM and wristbands for autographs will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit one wristband per customer, must be present to receive wristband, and limit one item to be signed.

We feel that you should atleast have an autographed tee shirt and hat sent to her in Wisconsin.
Please get back with me.
thanks
Good morning,
I just wanted to post this to NASCAR, I over the past few years have felt disgust with NASCAR, not the drivers but the organization. This week with the rule infractions at Daytona, they hand out harsh penalties to a select few, but as always, Gordon and other elites are just slapped on the hand…it was an honest mistake…hehe, I’m certain…and oversight by a mechanic…yeah…thats it. As for Toyota, thank goodness, god knows American cars are crap, and lets face it America, the big 3 only care about profits and losses, not about you the consumer or theie employees. If NASCAR were really serious about the rules, the penalty for Gordon would have been more harsh than the previous. At least it helped me decide on this Sundays activities, besides, I watched the twin 125’s or Duels now….geeze, what happened to the speed, my 11 year old son likened it to watching little ole ladies push a cart at the grocery store…talk about a sleeper..even the announcers seemed bored….
Why was the number 43 used to determine the number of cars in a Nextel Cup race.
Why the odd number?
Nascar, how phoney can you guys get? the 24 car is one inch below what is allowed and you all say what??????
nothing!
You should be put in the same catogry as the WWL!!!!!!!!!!!
UNBELIEVABLE DAYTONA ENDING, WHY DIDN’T THEY THROUGH THE YELLOW FLAG ON THE LAST LAP OF THE RACE WITH A WRECK BEHIND MARK AND KEVIN? I’LL TELL YOU WHY NASCAR HAS 2 SETS OF RULES, ONE FOR THEIR CHOSEN FEW AND ONE FOR THE OTHERS…I AM SO TIRED OF THE POLITICS OF RACING….NASCAR PRESIDENT, GET YOU ACT TOGETHER, YOU WOULD HAVE THROWN THE YELLOW FLAG WITH 2 LAPS TO GO, WHY NOT WITH THE LAST LAP……DISGRUNTLED FAN…
You Need to find A new Manager Of nascar because you can’t follow your own rules mark martian The yellow should have came out at the wreck meaning mark won the raceso you have a dum ass running nascar and BILL needs to get back Involved with how things are run
Can Nascar give us racing fans the exact rule on green/white/check. was it not created so that there would not be any racing back to the line. and now it’s a judgement call in the 49th Dayton 500 because the wrech was behind the leaders. Wasn’t there more cars behind the wreak that needed to check up and not race so that they would not be piled up in the wrech in front of them. Isn’t that why this rule was set up. Someone please explain……….
Well, now you know, Nascar is inconsistent.
I’m a fan of the sport, not for a driver, and the rules are rules, but Nascar shapes it the way they want.
1) Why did Kurt Busch not get penalized for gaining a position when he went below the yellow line?
2) How did they not throw the yellow on the last lap when the wreck was clearly major and freeze the field?
3) What about bump drafting; did Harvick not gain a clear advantage on the last lap and win the race due to a bump draft.
Rules are rules. Nascar clearly gives advantage to drivers they want to give it to. This sport is fun, but it has become nothing but a show now. No wonder they are not gaining any more popularity.
How is a car upside down not a caution? It’s like Earnheart Jr. blows up. Well it’s not in front of the racers so its not big deal. Why don’t you just come out and say We WERE BRIBED BY HARVICK AND WE DON’T CARE FOR YOUR OPPINION. Some times I think the officals run around with scissors and poke out their brains before the race. COME ON!!
Reck at last lap shuld have yellow flag put out. past races that have had recks ended under yellow.
I think the NASCAR governing organization sucks. Get your act together or get out.
It just amazes me how you didnot throw the yellow flag at the beginning of the last crash while Mark Martin was far enough ahead of Kevin Harvick to win the Daytona 500 !! How could you take his dream away from him — after all the talk on the rules that if a wreck happened during the green white checker and or last lap of the race — the race at that point would be declared done and the the driver in the lead would win — ” that would have been Mark Martin — if you had done what you said — not Kevin Harvick ” also
– his comments about Mark Martin after the race were very uncalled for and very unsportsman like — how terribly diheartening that you can’t and didn’t live up to your on ” RULES ” !!!!!!
I’m what you can consider a new fan of the sport and what I saw yesterday was a great race to the finish line. But your credibility as an organization was damaged after your inaction to throw a caution flag to finish the race (your own rules?). Other sports have in place a review process to make sure the game is played under the rules and this one was pretty obvious. I expect Nascar to come out with an explanation to the new rule that was in place just for Sunday at the Daytona 500 and inform the fans of it. If not, this will make me less interested about the sport.
ive only started watching the race because of tony stewart, however i was totally dissapointed to see the end of the race feb.19th. like everything else ,it looks like politics have won again. im a 70 year old WOMAN who had finally found a sport i could enjoy.now it looks like im going to half to look for something else to get interested in,too bad I wished the yellow flag had been throwen, not to let Mark win But to be as fair to him as you say you are to ALL drivers please reverse this ending in fairness to all of your fans and Mark Martin.
I bet if it had been one of nascar’s pretty boy’s,Tony Stewart,Jeff Gordon, or Dale Eeanheart the yellow would be out in a flash.
Nascar did it again. Enforcing the rules just when it wants too.
By not throwing the yellow on the last lap ,which the rules say to do, they cheated Mark Martin out of win.
I watched the CupLite(Busch) race last night and was once again disgusted at the dominance of cup races. What is the point of the Busch series now that half the field are cup regulars. Harvick should be proud that he dominated the minor leagues last year. I wonder how amazed we would be if Tiger woods found success on the Nationwide tour or womens tour. Maybe the Dallas Mavericks should schedule games against UConn, Duke or UNC. Wouldn’t that be a great matchup. Nascar needs to bring integrity and respectibility back to the Busch series. They need to limit the number of races that cup drives can race in Busch, take away any points they earn and change the cars so they are not the same as cup cars. The cup regulars use those races to gain an advantage in the Sunday race. Nascar is doing the Busch series a disservice so they can make more bucks. It seems to always be about the dollars.
Rod Jenks, a volunteer security guard, was severely injured during a NASCR race held at Loudon, NH during July, 2006. He has suffered a tragic loss of memory, and his physicians predict he may never work again.
Rod’s medical insurance coverage has been terminated and his current insurance premium (COBRA)cost $640.00, which he can’t afford. The race track owners refuse to take any responsibily.
His young family is in dire financial need. Is there any way NASCAR could help? I have called before. Tracking

Tired of seeing lapped cars at the front during restarts interfering with the racing of the leaders. Have cars lined up single file during restarts and allow 2 Lucky Dogs to advance–let the lap down cars race between themselves for that opportunity.
NASCAR you have managed to ruin my interest in professional stock car racing. COT, if I want to watch CanAm racing or SCCA I will. There is nothing related to Stock including the body now. Your viewership is down because we are all at our local Saturday night racing to see what NASCAR used to be You have turned racing into the spoiled kids “everybody gets a prize” and taken the sport out of it. In my humble opinion you have turned it into the WWF of auto racing. At least you have saved me a LOT of money now that I no longer will attend a NASCAR race.
I really enjoy watching NASCAR,but I feel nascar really needs to equalize the playing field. I am a hugh fan of
the Dodge teams, I always like to follow their progress. Lately all you see are the Chevys winning everything. I understand that there are more chevy teams in Nascar then any other brand. I for one would like to see better competition between all brand. I completely stopped watching the truck series because of this , if you not in a Toyota you might as well say home!
Lets bring racing back to the driver and make all brand as equal as possible so we can see a new winner every once in a while. I for one am tired of watch the Hendricks cars in Victory Lane!
To Mike Helton, President of NASCAR
Dear Sir,
I have never done something like this before , but I felt the need to do so. After what I read about NASCAR fining Tony Stewart. What is your problem? From my point of view Mr. Stewart spoke the truth. The impression I get from watching races lately is that if a Hendrick car or Roush car aren’t leading a caution flag is thrown to help these teams catch up or make adjustments. I have watched this sport for a long time and what I see going on is stupid. The races are boring and only certain teams seem to win every week. It is not worth my time and dollars to pay attention to NASCAR any more. To fine Tony Stewart for saying what many fans think and the drivers are to chicken to say is just stupid to me. You have got a problem and you need to fit it. You know I know I am never going to hear from any one at NASCAR about this because you people live in a fantasy world and make your own rules. I would be surprised if this even makes the web site.
To: The Father, Son and Holy Ghost
of Nascar!!
Your issuing a penalty to Tony Stewart
for speaking his mind is by FAR the most
ridiculous thing you yahoos have done to date! (and the list is VERY long!)
Last time I checked, we still live in a free country and there is that simple thing called THE FIRST AMENDMENT by the way!! Shame on all of you – your constant tampering and tweaking of racing rules, sanctions, penalties and just plain nit-picking has ruined what WAS a great sport!! I am no longer a Nascar fan…however, I will remain a fan of the racers who have the courage to say what they feel without fear of the almighty Nascar gestapo!!! And that list of racers appears to be a very short one – Tony Stewart stands alone – because the other drivers are merely robots being programmed and moved about by Nascar’s fumbling hands. Making Tony apologize publicly was pathetic and degrading to watch!! What’s next boys? Public floggings, stockades, caning?
BRAVO TONY for telling the “suits” what
many of the fans would like to tell them!!
What is the deal with NASCAR officials? Hendrick cars can’t win without help? They either call a caution for every little piece of “junk” on the track but a guy has a smoke filled car and can’t see and they let them drive 200mph and don’t call a caution until Gordon takes the lead? Be consistant!!!! I think Tony is onto something.
leave it up to nascar to let jeff and jimmie cheat !!! mr. hendick must be bribing some-one to let them win. and all the crap they are giving kevin harvik and tony stewart, my god come on, 24,48 &5 are the ones that need to be puinshed. i say boycott nascar. no fans, no ticket sales = no money for mr. france!!!!
nascar is turning into a fraudulent organization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IE: penalizing JR. while hendrick runs wild!!!!!!!!!!

Sonoma National Anthem.
O, say can you see me, I’m an actress
By the dawn’s early light, do you have the spotlight on me?
What so proudly we hailed, my mommy is proud of me, do I look pretty?
Give me a break. The actress who sang the national anthem was neither an actress, nor a singer. If she’d been a good actress she could have pretended she was a singer instead of stopping three time during the National Anthem to smile and pose for media photos. Come on even us NASCAR Fans ain’t so self consumed we don’t know the difference between a good singer and a good actress. She was neither.

If you do not reduce commercials or adopt side by side as shown during Indy races you will not have my family as viewers or fans.
Based on the flawed rulings of NASCAR, the black flagging of the 55 car, the orchestrated results of the Montreal Busch Race and their even more flawed decision to pull Robby Gordon’s racing privileges at Pocono, I am pulling my own NASCAR (fans) license.
I am a Kevin Harvick fan and I can’t say that I’ve ever been a Robby Gordon Fan, but I have always been a fan of fair-play, instant replays and leveled playing fields.
I have come to realize that Nascar racing has become theater much like the ranks of professional wrestling, demolition derby, and reality TV.
I will no longer support any of the products advertised on the side of a Nascar racing car.
I will let those sponsors know that as long as they sponsor Nascar that I will not buy their products.
I will no longer watch, attend or listen to a Nascar race.
I will periodically visit nascar.com however to get a new list of sponsors for me to hate.
I’m sure no one cares, but this is the only way that I can make sense of it all. Bye – I enjoyed it while it was fair.
Dear Nascar,
I believe that you should fine/suspend the drivers involved in the fight this past sunday. It is not a good image for racing when 2 drives stop in the middle of a race and fight over what went wrong. So what they crashed, and yes one is to blame but settle it off of the track and not during a race. WE want to watch a good race not 2 grown men fighting over who caused a wreck.Something should be done. You fine drivers for swearing so why not fighting.

How, or what method is used to measure the distance of a race track ( from the outer wall, opr from the lower line?
NASCAR Racing needs to help solve the energy problem. I have faith in the engineers that are employed by the NASCAR teams.I suggest that NASCAR have at least two 200 or 300 mile races each year that count toward the points for the championship. Requiring the teams to build engine that will have to average 20 miles per gallon to be able to finish the race, “10 gallon for a 200 mile race and 15 for a 300 mile race”. “What a hoot,” Imagine the challenge preparing a car for a race like this. I have no doubt that within two years the speeds that the teams would be getting out of these required 20 mile per gallon race cars would amaze us all and could create the break-through we need to build higher mileage cars needed in the future. If we leave it to the Government to solve the problem with the oil crises, “you know Al Gore is working on the problem for us”, can you imagine what a guy like that is going to come up with I bet we don’t like his answer. Racing has developed so many improvements in automobiles in the past I know that racing could solve this one too. Can you imagine the top teams racing at 80 mph and it meaning something. They would have to balance speed, and fuel mileage with a engine that could be run in street cars. What do you think?
Have you guys seen about enough of these Death Tickets that Goodyear calls TIRES!?!?
Throw Goodyear OUT of NASCAR racing, and get these drivers some tires that aren’t bound to KILL them… OR a spectator or three!! There has been nothing but tire trouble this season.
Get rid of Goodyear! NOW!!!!!
HI I AM PISSED OFF. NASCAR YOU SUCK. I WAS WATCHING THE 2008 AMP ENERGY 500 TODAY AND REGAN SMITH PASSED UNDER THE YELLOW LINE TO PASS TONY STEWART. TONY FORCED HIM UNDER THE YELLOW LINE AND THAT IN BULL!@#$. YOU HAVE TO BE %^&*^%$ KIDDING ME. PLEASE ENFORCE THE YELLOW LINE RULE AS YOU HAVE STATED THIS IN DRIVER MEETINGS SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE.
This is what I’m burning about… as Jim Rome would say…
David Gilliland needs to take his little red wagon and go home and play in the sandbox with the other little children!!! I don’t even like Montoya, but that has got to be one of the most childish things I’ve seen in a long time from a “so called” professional NASCAR driver… aside from Kyle and Kurt Busch and their little baby ways thru the years!!! He obviously hasn’t seen the video footage of where Dale Earnhart dies!!! Dead! At 190 miles an hour he could have killed Montoya and a lot of other people, including himself!!! These new cars are very safe, but one of these days, one of these stupid childish drivers, like Gilliland and Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch are gonna take someone else’s life and have to live with that for the rest of their life! I understand accidentally hitting someone else… accidents do happen every week, BUT to deliberately hit and spin someone into the wall at that speed and take them out like that… WOW! All because he didn’t get his way! That’s just plain dumb and childish to me! What a baby!!! Please someone call a wambulance for Gilliland!!!

This is for all you old NASCAR fans. Joe Caspolich (NASCAR Driver 1957 – 1962) died this week at his home in Spanish Fort Alabama. Joe was a native of Bay St. Louis, MS and drove race cars from the local Mississippi dirt tracks to NASCAR and even into the movies. Joe started racing 1945.
I was wondering how i could get a way to win or something to meet dale jr, i have been one of his fans for a long time and i would love to say that i had to fullfill one of my dreams please email me if you kknow how pixiebabe26@yahoo.com
why does nascar call it a win they get rained out instead of give me , why don,t they just give the points out in stead would,nt that be more fair to the other drivers, so what you don,t have a winner on rain give me,s seems unfair to me & 1,000,s of other fans
There is no way Kyle Bush can win that often!!! Maybe the officials should investigate his car better since I am sure they are “rigging”it!
i WAS AGAIN ABLE TO ATTEND A YEARLY NASCAR RACE AT TALLEDAGA AND JUST WANT TO SAY IT IS A WONDERFUL FEELING TO BE PRESENT WITH SUCH A LARGE GROUP OF PEOPLE AND BE ABLE TO STAND PROUD DURING THE OPENING PRAYER FOLLOWED BY THE ANTHEM TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR OUR COUNTRY…WE AS RACE FANS HAVE BEEN CALLED MANY THINGS……..BUT HAVE NOT HEARD ANYONE SAY WE ARE “PROUD AMERICANS” THAT WE ARE…..TO ALL YOU FANS……KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK……KEN BEACH/TEXAS
I’m sick of the TV announcers with their bad hair dye jobs… Sick of Digger… Sick of NastyCar.
The Confederate Flag is not a racists flag although there are those that misrepresent the use of the flag for hate. The Confederate Flag (Battle Flag) represents a proud heritage for love of God and and the South. For those that are offended by the Confederate Flag, it’s my heritage and your ignorance! Get over it!
hi , this is sadiq jangda , racing has been in my blood, i would greatly appreciate if you could guide me make this a carrier, please let me know how can i make carrier in nascar, and fullfil the dream that my father had once,
I am appalled at Kyle Busch’s actions for breaking the guitar at the end of the race. He should give an apology.
I think I am so tired so this race stuff.
If a black person makes a racial slur nothing is done. Get off it.
for god sakes will you take any future races away from tnt! Im so sick of watching 1minute of the race and 10min. of commercials. This is one big pain in the butt, I want to see raceing not commercial after commercial!!!!
if any driver is found to be using drugs or alcohol, they should be suspended and required to attend a rehab, attend 5 aa or na meetings a week for at least one year.
during that time they should be required to pass random drug tests.
if they are cought a second time they should be suspended for life.
too much is at stake!

I really think NASCAR has to do something about mother natures ability to run a good day for fans (both at the race and on tv) by a little misplaced rain. Instead of drying the track with jet dryers during the red flag have hover craft races. No kidding. Paint em up like stock cars, track the points do whatever you can to make it interesting. Let em run a pre determined number of laps based on the track and the severity of the rain. As with all ideas there are limitations but most race fans would watch two lady bugs race as opposed to watching the rain fall. Ahh and the hover crafts would dry the track.
It is long past the time that Kyle Bush should have learned that he won’t win every time he goes out. Today, he lost the inaugural Iowa race because he had the second best car, not the best. His appeal is going to wear out if he doesn’t grow up.
I agree with a lot of the people here displaying bad feelings for Kyle Bush. he’s a winning driver for the most part but his attitude is the pits.maybe someday he will get fired. if his attitude were acceptable fans wouldn’t cheer everytime he wipes out, Kyle is definitely a bad influence to nascar and needs to grow up before he finds himself with Mayfield . now let’s discuss Robby Gordon this dirt bag is constantly wiping drivers out because he’s halucinating and believing every driver out there is after him. Logano was his recent victim and for no justifiable reason. Gordon should have been diciplined by Nascar.
I currently race at a nascar sanctioned track in holland newyork and the current owners just eliminated our division and now the owner is planning on selling the track. What can nascar do to help us save not only our division but our track as well
If anyone has any suggestions or has any affiliation with nascar that can help me e-mail me at jtstockracer51@aol.com
there are other drivers other ther jommy johnson & jff gordon . I get tired hearing about them . they w& talk about them all the time it seem like they are routing for them to win .are about where they are in the race , well some people like other drivers , they are not god .sunday johnson was speeding off pit roll everyone thought this was fine , then he held back the car’s on a restart , did he get into any trouble no ,but let another driver do it & they get in trouble . I wish hamllin would have boumped him like johnson did him ,. only difference johnson would have gotten mad & hamli would have gotten in trouble .
Nascar lost me as a fan yesterday. I’ve been a Gordon fan for years. But to watch that race…boring all day long…and then see it end up like it did is a total waste and injustice…I won’t waste my time any longer.
